Hey G.I. Joe,
I was working on the set of a movie yesterday, and I met this guy named Steve. He said for you and E.P. and all the party vikings to meet him at Nunzio's at Juan Tabo and Menaul to drink some beers delivered by the Beastmaster.
Huh?

Great Flower Ditch pics and memeries too.Thanks. The Crazyhorse, Flower and Woodbridge ditches kept my knees and elbows scabed over for a good ten years.Does anyone know if the Woodbrodge Ditch is around still.I'm coming down from Norther Cal taking my 2 sons and a crap camper full of their buddys for a ditch ridin trip.I imagine many ditches are dozed under by now.Any word on any ditches that are left would make this trip the s#@!.Peace out Hiers

my friends and i (from flagstaff AZ) are planning a to head to albaquerqe for a few days and we were just wondering if anyone could provide some good info for indian school and the bear and any other good ditches, i think i have a decent flood control map but of course it doesnt provide much info beyond locations... we were also looking for a good place to camp, and a skate shop (longboard friendly) nearby. Also any info on big hills for carving and bombing would be greatly appreciated

Randifer -
Man, I can't believe how Grafitti'd OUT - and BeAt-Up Flower Ditch got- - - ..and from the looks of those photos - it seems like someone painted sections of it solid... trippy,man.....hmmmmm.
I saw Arab's pics on your site - I personally haven't seen him ride vert lately, but looking at those pics , I remember Arab at that age - doing his - what I'd call ...BEST skating ever - during that time - of what I can remember...back then.
He had a smooth style - he could go rad with moves - -but never jerky, or out of control - a 'smooth/rad' - if you will. Arab & Lee Weber used to dominate that SANTANA TEAM SKATEBOARD RAMP.
Remember how skaters would add those 'wood extensions' to the banks @ Flower Ditch - for heighth ?
All the times I skated there with my brothers, I never saw any cops - or got thrown out!
It's wierd now, going to the end of Flower Street, and seeing that 'Wall of China ' type wall they have there now.
Alot of GREAT Ditch-Riding Skate memories there!
Thanks for having that skate spot on your site.
...Yeah - we should go grab some grub over in South County - in 2006.

====================== HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR! ======================
Take care,
............-Rene Carrasco.

Hey Rene, I am still amazed at how clean the Flower Street ditch was back in the 70's. It was way more overgrown with ton's grafitti by the early 80's. Thanks for the prop's. I just found 3 more photos... so I will be posting them on floodkontrol.com this week. Let's hook up soon. -R
