I think the 1st 20 people that paid for the Buckeye ought be rewarded for early payment ... I'm thinking maybe a full second off their time each run. Whadaya think?

I saw some guy named Grundy posted on CC's forum, was that Guy Grundy?? Last time we saw him was in Akron.
Was it really almost 30 years ago? Can we get one of those marching band intros at the Buckeye? They would have to know how to play Sugar Magnolia! -Geo

Buckeye Openers. Cough it up. We only have 20 people paid so far. We are trying to make it great, but its going to take around $5500 to pull it off and that leaves around 2K for pro purse for all three races.
Send money. Paypal is working I think. If you cannot paypal, call me at 614 679 6225

Surgery went well. 10 pins in the heel bone and some plates. The pain set in on Friday after the nerve block went away. WOW ! That was some pain. Felt like knives just cutting throught the whole foot and the meds were not helping. Finally, at 2 am the pain slowed down.
I have been on the couch most of the past two weeks, with two more to go. The beautiful summer is passing me by, but I am getting better every day. I figure 48 more days until I can walk. Been doing pushups and lifting the small wieghts, not overeating, and doing leg lifts. Mostly just laying and watching TV.
I am heading back home for some couch time. Just stopped in the office to check the mail and stuff. Sweating like hell from the Oxycodone (Perks), but all in all doing fine. Just frustrated.
I will pop in tomorrow. The Buckeye is coming along fine. Have many sponsors that I will mention here soon. EVeryone but Fibreflex has answered my calls and been supportive.

Geeze! I think I'll go skate and otherwise sit on the couch at the Gong for awhile until "things" blow over on that other forum.
Kenny, Hope it went well, if you're sitting around post-operatively with nothing better to do, more vintage photos (or modern photos) would be appreciated, as good to look at as reading Jack's old stories.

Hey, Kenny, sorry to hear about the break, but if anyone can bounce back from it, you can. You've just got more stoke-o-rama than just about anyone else I've ever met.
I just watched the Duane Peters documentary a couple of nights ago. In the outtakes, Mike Lorhman is joking about DP banging on Death's door and Death hiding way back in the corner saying, "Go away!" Putting aside the different life circumstances between you and DP, I could totally picture that same quote being about you.

Heal quickly & don't be afraid to ask for help.
You have a HUGE support system, so use it!
Don't give Ryder pony rides on that leg until it's healed!
Huge love to you from your NorCal peeps.

Thinking about you this AM...hope all goes great! Thanks for the boards and cones Sunday, Chad and I had a great session on the hill. May be coming back this Sunday. You know, a Dad should be able to do whatever he wants on fathers day.
