Here is a link to some video that was shot last sunday in Malibu by inliner Tim Huber. Thats Roger Jennings and myself. We both go down on this run, mine was filmed Rogers was not . Unfortunetly Roger messed up his ankle, while I was lucky enough to only bruise my ego.
Check out the other videos, most of them are of the inliners, but watch them for the roads. Latigo, Piuma, and Little T are awesome roads.

If YOU want to promote downhill in australia then go talk to the Aussie skate magazines. Glue up posters near skateparks. There are heaps of POSITIVE things you can do if thats YOUR agenda rather than slag sht around here. Anyone who goes to your website will think that Aussie downhill is for dorks. You should take that blood area of your site. Thats a negative thing that doesnt help promote the sport. you might think thats cool but everyone else thinks its lame ass. Want some more good advice, let me know. I do actually care.

well gday dudes im benny and i dont post to often im in the old skool team you may have seen me from such films as a taste of things too come and s#@! like that, getting to the point we not trying to prove were the best skaters or film makers what we are trying to do is get downhill speedboarding a better profile in australia i think that a lot of u internatinol guys take the profile of the sport in you country for granted .to the dude that posted from melbourne australia mate what the f#@! are doin for the sport in aus sure you can say just ride, have fun, unfortunatliy thats not gunna get us legal rides and a place in the world scene sorry to be negitive but we have an agenda! and to everyone else we dont think we are the best at any of this s#@! all i know is that ill give any hill a go flat stick ,kanufi will give most of you a run for your money in the speed and slide department and joggers been riding for close to 15 years and i mean full on down hill speed stuff and man jogger puts a f#@!ing s#@! load of work into this site and our team so if your in aus or can make it to aus by dec the 4th we will see you at the 1st old skool down hill event

Well, I've got one small vid online, which is of me running some cones in a Tokyo graveyard. I'm pretty much a newbie at slalom (and skating for that matter - I'm a snowboarder who's only been skating for just over a year), so it's nothing too exciting.
You're right about the backdrops - I live in the countryside near the mountains, and I skate some nice hills with beautiful scenery. No videos though...

1. The idea of constructive criticism is to be constructive. Adding insults to your criticism totally undermines the "constructive" part - it puts the recipient of the criticism in an unreceptive mood, so your suggestions tend to get ignored.
2. Getting defensive when criticised makes you look weak. And using "gay" as an insult makes you look homophobic.
3. I reckon the OST videos are good - sure they don't have the best skaters in the world, but they have a good feel to them, and they help promote the sport. I like the dry sense of humour -

i roomed with dave at the seattle skid road one year.... interesting dude, he, leemo and flindt attacked my room at 4am and beat me with pillows... dave didnt know who i was, just that a canadian was staying in his room... should have seen the apologies from leemo's girlfriend the next morn... ha ha ha, all good fun.

Yeah Shintzel he is an aussie who fly,s.He lives about a ten hour drive from us in another state.I would very much like to ride with this guy as he is very talented.Its always good skating with riders at his standard you learn more in a day then months of riding.If we find him we will film him.Other good riders are Dave Kelly he is aussie and goes mental fast but he lives around 20 hrs drive away.We have some good skaters in oz but our country is so big its hard to get them all in one spot.But we will try to please the viewing public.

all skaters wear the scars of defeat kanufi, but you wear the scars of sucking, then getting really defensive about it, then alienating yourselves.
On the other hand, I know how hard it is to portray speed on film. try to get as low as possible for those speed shots, let us see how fast the ground close to the camera is going. I like what shnitzel said about getting a camera next to someone in a corner, that could be a tight shot. also, big ass slides look really good on film, maybe some nice hard wheels and a little time invested in learning to coleman could add a little variety into your videos.
ps. there's nothing wrong with a little fisheye action.......... and quti zooming if you don't want it to look like a home video
