Think JOEL TUDOR

my shop carrys more than 25 different make of longboards. I've sold them all, just about, from the most hyped to the one- offs we make out of mahogany & oak. All last summer we kept hearing rumors from our suppliers about the THINK Tudor decks, but we could'nt get any. Finally, last fall, I received the first batch...let me tell you, it was worth the wait! These decks are the finest riding of any that we've sold. The templates are pleasing and functional. You don't need to riser the hell out of them to avoid wheel bite. The mild concave is just right, as is the hint of kick in the tail. They're short enough to out manouver the over-rated Sector decks, yet long enough to be able to do those stretchy stances without looking like you're taking a dump! Being molded, they're stronger than Gravitys and other decks of more plys. My favorite is the square tail. We set this up with Invader 215 trucks on top of a set of Gravity angled risers sitting on top of a set of old school Cell Block halves. ( on my personal vehicle, I use an add'l 1/2" riser under the rear truck!...the rear weight shift capacity is out of this world). Where the rubber meets the road, we recommend Bare Back's new 76mm, 78a wheel with a set of Yak oiled, delrin core abec5 bearings. I have never gotten so much distance out one moderate push as with the Tudor setup this way. The flex is just enough to 'power lock' the wheels without absorbing so much energy from your push that your waste your effort &/or unnecessarily stress the deck. This is a big problem with the Sector9 product. Our experience was that they did'nt hold up under heavy use & their excessive flex (not enough plys?) caused the rider to work twice as hard--why bother? Do yourself a big favor. Rush down to your local shop and ask them to let you demo the Tudor. Whether you use our setup, or at the very least a setup with Gullwing Sidewinder 2's, I guarantee you'll walk away with one of these decks. So long from the Tikiman, and remember, " dare to keep cops off donuts!"

Phat Cruize Boards, original model

Phat Cruize Boards are amazingly manuverable. Can carve side to side, and change direction, pull Ueyz, etc... They look smoothe, and the riding is even smoother! While riding, you can feel the board and flex working together. It gives you a feeling of oneness. They have a unique board design with cutouts so that you can turn as sharp as you want to. Enjoy these phat boards on a cruize downhill, or pump this board on flatland and you dont have to push with your feet by keeping your momentum. If you arent able to make it to the beach, or cant snowboard because of seasonal reasons or cant get to the slopes, grab a Phat Cruize Board and do it on cement. IF YOU LOVE TO SURF OR SNOWBOARD, YOU WILL LOVE PHAT CRUIZE BOARDS! Go get your own! check them out at : http://www.mysurf.com/phatcruz/

Roller, I can't really help you on the Fish Longskates. I can only offer the piece of advice. The next time you see someone riding a board you think is cool, ask him about it. If he seems receptive, ask him if you can try it. Most people are pretty cool about this sort of thing. I've ridden a dozen different boards this way in the last several months, ranging from a 38" Dregs to a 56" Road Board. Keep your toes on the nose,

I saw the Flip Longboard and rode it a little today. It rode exactly like a shortboard, probably because it is one. Did Flip put this out to jump on the college boy longboard bandwagon? Or did they actually think people would spend 74.00 for a hacked up shortboard.

GRAVITY BOARDS ARE CRAP! MY BUDDY TOOK ONE RIDE WITH ONE AND WENT OFF A CURB, THE BOARD SNAPPED!!! I WATCHED THE GRAVITY VIDEO AND ALL OF THE RIDERS WERE SPREAD EAGLE WITH THEIR FEET ON THE TRUCKS. I'VE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE RIDE LIKE THIS. I MAY BE WRONG IF THIS IS THE WAY TO RIDE, BUT I STILL THINK THE BOARDS SUCK IF YOU CAN'T RIDE HOWEVER YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE, EVEN IF THEY LOOK COOL.

I have been riding my Lobark for about 6 months now and I love it! It's super flexy and feels like riding powder. The boards have a sick wood finish and look pretty dope. I got it in Utah, I guess the companies from back there since I haven't seen any in Cali. Other boards that I've ridden don't perform on the steeps like mine. Lobarks rule! Keep riding hard.

Alright, I bought this board after screwing around with a 39" Think deck for a little while. The flex is unparalleled by any board I have ridden, and the extreme concave allows amazing control at any speed. This board is light, responsive, and incredibly comfortable to ride. Great board.

I've seen this board in the Gravity catalogue, I think it looks really cool, But I want to know how it rides. Is it heavy? And how much space is there in front of the wheels cause it looks like theres a lot of space in front of the wheels. Anyone who has ridden this board please e-mail me. Take it easy. Bean.

I bougt this sector 9 board about three monthe ago and it has worked better that any of my other of my 5 old boards. The kick is great for tricks and the board does not weigh a thing. The board does not come with fast bearings but if you get it some new ones it will ride perfectly for downhill. It has an awesome flex and is also great for high speed carving.

Truly an EXCELLENT board, realitivly new to the market but with great expertise. Took the board for a test ride on one of the steepest hills in my neighborhood and to my surprise the board was easy to ride and went where you wanted it to go. This board comes in a 50" model all solid wood, looking like one of a kind longboards(each one is individually signed. So if you want a board that will perform this is the board to buy. It is tough as shit, but light and a way cool looking board. Whay to go dudes..

Tried all the other guys and just can't find anything better than what Karma has to offer. Killer 72MM wheels provide just enough stick and last forever...I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews for this board! All my friends ride them too...

Aki, I assure you that you're absolutly not the THE french downhiller. Sector 9 boards are perfect but each one has its own program. Personnaly, the board I use the most is a stingray for everyday rides. This board is perfect for street style tricks and it remains excellent for downhill however when I really want to go fast Ii take my old pintail equipped with Randals and 75 mm wheels. Sector boards kick ass almost as much as the ones I build. One board, one hill, one country!!!

Hello from N.Y.C.! My life just hasn't been the same since that afternoon in central park. I am now consumed by the never ending search for good riding spots. I've found quite a few out here and i've got just the board and wheels to recommend. The Cloud 9 by Sector 9 has definite style in appearence as well as in its handling. It has a 46" deck with wheel cut outs and a kick tail. I find that Kryptonic C70mm wheels work best with it. Together, they carve pavement fiercely yet gracefully. A ride on this board explains why they named it Cloud 9! Check out the Sector 9 website for cool pix of boards and tricks!!

Hey. I got a 51" Orca deck. This is a small company out of Oregon. Anyway, my friend brought me home a complete board and I love it. It is super wide with wheel cutouts. It even has two holes drilled in the deck to attach a sail. This board is fun, and very flexible. I am 200 lbs and was nervous at first that it would break. No way! The flex makes it fun. This board is so stable downhill it is amazing. With the flex action it is possible to pump the board and gain speed on the flats. It is a little too big for parks, so I got a Cloud 9. The Cloud 9 is fun and great for parks but I always go back to the Orca for downhill or cruzin'. If this board wasn't so fun, I wouldn't have gotten into longboarding as much as I have. Keep up the good work guys.

Does anyone have a Deplo board ???
I got one, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It is the first longboard I have ever owned and tried so I don't know what others are like. The Deplo is 42" long and I got Deadbolt trucks and Crytronics(did I spell it right) 65mm wheels withit If you haven't been to the Deplo homepage yet, go there: http://pw2.netcom.com/~deplo/index.html
I live in Germany and I ordered my board from Paul easy@concepts.nl

This board is the SHIT! Longer and wider than flippers, but not as bulky as a longboard. Durable as hell! I had mine run over by a car, twice! The wheels poped off but the deck didn't even bend. super functional. all tricks, pools, ditches, ramps, street, and especially downhill are all primo on this board. Excellent for anyone, anything, always. I love this board, also have one on my dirtboard. it rules!
9 3/8" x 33 3/4" thick as $#@! (but only 7 ply)

FREERIDE 47

Pure downhill turkey carver board. This board gives the confidence and ride needed to max on the most steepest of hills and winding of runs. Downhilling is where this board stands out from the rest, I believe.
The board design will not serve well the trickster who needs a tail or nose to pop. But this isnt Thrashers website, this is the Downhill website. So we understand these things. I have spent many sessions in bowls and concrete parks with my versatile Freeride. So dont exclude bringing the longboard just cause your not downhilling.
Bottom line. If your lookin for the purest of pure downhill board and ride...Look no further than Freeride. The carve, speed handling, and confidence provided by this board is unmatchable. And those three categories are what make up downhill skating to me. Oh yeah and dont forget to bring your Freeride to your favorite skatepark or bowl.
The Freeride 47" is Team Roller's board of choice.
Carvin for my soul, Francesco

Durf Boards

Hey there I am from Boston and baught a powell sidwalk surfer in 94 and have been a devoted long boarder since. Anyway the sidewalk surfer has been getting old and I a have an enourmous attachment too it. It has taken me on many adventures including riding the righteous hills of tahoe (with flip flop not very smart) to the hills and runs of the north east. Anyway it became time to get a new board so I went to Visceral Surf Shop in Gloucester Mass, Which I must warn is owned by a guy who is very dishonest. Anyway, he does sell a line of board called the Durf which are sweet as hell. The durf is made by a guy out of boxford ma. They are completely hand made with a hand painted graphic...they are visually quite beautiful as well as having great flex. The board I bought is like a giant banana board and is smaller than the sideawlk sufer but with better handling characteristic on straight hill. This is with crappy truck and small wheels mind. I will right back as gather the bucks to invest in better equipment. The point is if you find a durf buy one they are really a piece of art.

Lemme just tell you about these boards, they rock. They simply can't be faulted. They have very wide trucks and cutouts for the wheels enabling the rider to carve maximally. They are about 47" long, and have an awesome board design. Finally, they look about as cool as any longboard I have ever seen. Definitely visit their website and see the graphic, and I promise you will be impressed.
