Comftorably under a rock for the most part Mr.Palmer ;) But the dark's become a bore now. I'm pale, skinny, and horribly out of shape so it makes perfect sense that I skate. Not to mention, I haven't had any new injuries in a long time and it won't do ;) Always happy to hear you're doing well you mad bomber you. I've been playing in a halfpipe lately Rob. Pray for me.
K, if you're going to be tied to a stake, ask for one through the heart. I hope the theme music to your torture is at least making it bearable. You'll know the natives are truly serious about your pain though if they start handing you Barry Manilow cd's. Wouldn't you have more fun building yourself a spaceship to fly around in? You've certainly got the brains for it.

Soball: Oh, no, it IS a human sacrifice. And I'M the one tied to the stake! It's the students and the other tutors here that are ripping my heart out and sending me down to the firey pits of doom to die a horrible death!!!
Palmer & George: If you guys are going out on Saturday, I guess I'll have to catch up with you on Sunday to find out what you found. You guys wanna meet up at Rio Bravo and decide on a course this Sunday? I can do it alone too, and have you approve the final result at a later date if you want.
I'll e-mail you guy to verify....

Kaylee, I thought you gave up that sacrifice hobby.
I'm sending a rep from PETA over to your house immediately. Or, have you moved onto human sacrifice? LOL
Sincerely, your sis from The Swamp ;-)

Saturday? Oh crap. I thought it was Sunday. Must've been a communication breakdown, going from instant message through the girlie to me. Shoot. I'm a slave to the evil beast of TVI all day Saturday. You'll have to come rescue me if we're going out Saturday. Ever see Temple of Doom? Bring a whip, and just hunt around for the evil sacrifice taking place.

Next thing you know, you'll be waxing the coping of Skate School and whining about the ladder in the deep end of Palmers pool.....
Superasshead, K Lee and the Marshall are checking all three venues on Saturday (including some new alternates). We'll give a full report out on Monday.

Until it rains, then the dirt and will debris will be spread over the entire bottom. Pray for no rain.... and a 30 mph tail wind. How much does a Bobcat cost to rent for the day? Could be worth saving some tired old backs.

Looks like the city decided to clean up the brush along the north side of the ditch and ending up pushing it and some dirt into the ditch itself. From what I could see they picked up the brush but the dirt remains, it looks like it's only in a couple of isolated spots, nothing a couple brooms and shovels couldn't deal with.

Big huge piles of trash and debris? Heavy equipment in the middle of the ditch? Sounds like Palmer's going for "natural cones" this year, and upping the "gnarly factor" by a considerable amount!

Yeah, We were up there the other day and there were several piles of brush, dirt, rocks, cinder blocks, and other assorted stuff in the ditch. it was wierd too, it looked like someone had driven a bobcat or something down the side and at random intervals just pushed trash into the ditch.
It made for an interesting ride down.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything on the website either. I drove by yesterday and there was a huge pile of dirt and brush in the ditch 1/2 way between Chelwood and Juan Tabo, and piece of heavy equipment in the ditch between the foot bridge and Chelwood. I'll check it out on the way home today...

Where? I looked all over the site and couldn't find the "Spring Projects" anywhere, nor could I find any mention of Embudo either. Got a link? What part of the site did you see this on?

I've heard of that ditch in Puerto Rico and was wondering if that was the only drainage ditch there? Haven't been there yet but if I did would mind having a ditch to skate.

I saw a ditch in the wilds of Puerto Rico last year that looked just like the Bunker, but even more massive. It was fenced in and I couldn't poach it as I was with non-skater types. It was somewhere in the interior. Anyone ever skate it or have photos??

Hey where is that last picture from? Is that the Bunker? If so where the hell is it, I need to skate that place. Also anyone know of some good ditches in Los Angeles/San Diego Area (Anywhere in SoCal). I am aching to get in some. All help would be appreciated for a newcomer to this area
