so i used to ride several years ago . i rode a few of the barrets that frank waterhouse put on in the early 2000s and the first return to bonelli (the short course) . but then had to take time to have kids and do the grown up thing . In the process i had to sell my board ( a dreggs ) . but now i want back in. so im looking for a preferably used rogers pegless or full. i read a website that had posts from like 2006 that said that was the last run they did of them that year. plus 900 hundered is not in my budget. also if anyone has a REWsports andy lally pegless that would be cool too. theyr is what i believe is george ortons rail on ebay with the wedge helmet and 6 sets of cherrybombs. but i have to pass on it cuz i think it would be an insult to him to chop the front off and turn it into a pegless. On top of that when i get one i got no one to ride with . the socal scene has pretty much gone straight stand up which is cool and all but i want to get my speed in check laying down before i jump back into standing up. thanx brad

Madison County Gravity Fest 8-2011
On 1/27/2010 gravitydrno wrote in from (70.168.nnn.nnn)

[b:2ydef0d7]Press Release- January 27, 2010DrNo RacingMadison County Gravity Festival-[/b:2ydef0d7]As most of you know Madison County Gravity Fest ran for seven (7) consecutive years beginning in 2002 on Rocks Road and in 2003 moved to East Hill Road in Munnsville where it remained until 2008. In planning for the 2009 event it was decided that the event would have to be postponed due to issues with the road along with several other issues including the economy.East Hill Road had for years suffered from problems and the community felt it was time to deal with those issues, the work was planned and then began in the Spring/Summer of 2009. Those issues were significant requiring large amounts of work to be done and progress has continued in stages. The construction on East Hill Road is slated to be completed sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2010 leaving the Madison County Gravity Fest Committee no option but postpone the return of Gravity Fest until 2011.Rest assured racers that there is work being done in anticipation of the return of Madison County Gravity Fest for 2011, this event is not ready to call it quits. There was communication about selecting a different road but it would not be the same and the committee decided for it to remain on East Hill Road. This event is not a DrNo Racing event it belongs to the people of Madison County and they ask that you, the racers be supportive as they deal with these community issues. The end result is when the event comes back in 2011 you will be racing on a NEW road with an excellent surface for racing.

Powered Streetluge Salt Flats Results 2009
On 11/23/2009 roland6250 wrote in from (209.204.nnn.nnn)

It was pointed out by Old 97 that we failed to post any Powered Streetluge Bonneville Slat Flats 2009 results so here they are. We'll we returned from the salt flats with everything intact. Even thou the event was delayed until Thursday afternoon due to rain and the courses where still quite wet we made some good runs. After we learned what we needed to do with Jenna's motor she was able to record may 100+mph runs including three 114+mph runs and let me tell you she did some incredible riding to accomplish what she did. On several runs her starts began with her sliding the whole Powered Streetluge sideways due to the wet surface and traction issues. My first pass was on a very wet course, so wet that after the 1 mile mark I could no longer read the GPS due to salt on my shield. My first run broke the 150mph mark by running a average of 150.3mph throught the 1/4 mile speed trap. On my second pass I found that 4th gear was no longer working so my second and final pass was 116mph. We made several attempts to get 4th gear back but did not have the facilities to tear down the motor on the salt flats. Have a great day,Rolandhttp://www.PoweredStreetluge.com

well i got started just going myself and then i got some friends into it and then others so i would say build a street luge out of wood it will cost under $100 and if you follow directions well you can easily go 40-70 mph /just find a site that has some instructions on it /or i build them still but a complete board from me would cost a bit more i spend a lot of time on them/or just get the top of the line rogers bros way sick/be safe where a helmet and a jacket if you have one i started with a moto helmet a leather jacket and two pairs of jeans which worked well in crashes (slides)

Powered Streetluge Bonneville Salt Flats Results
On 9/23/2008 Roland wrote in from United States  (4.238.nnn.nnn)

As some of you know Jenna and I registered for the World of Speed event on the Bonneville Salt Flat earlier this year in an attempt to push our personal land speed records a little further. We attended the event last week and here are the results

First I would like to thank the crew who gave 125% and made the event for us.

Neil Orta Crew Chief
Chris McBride Crew
Wally Hoffman Crew
Dianna Morrison Crew

Jenna made quite a few passes over 100mph including a few passes that broke the 100mph mark in the first half-mile. We tried everything we could over the 4 days with her Powered Streetluge and after many gear and engine changes Jenna pushed her record quite a bit further with two passes at 113mph.

I on the other hand only made 4.25 passes.
130mph Course Pass 1 - At the ½ mile mark I was at 125mph so I had to back down because you should not exceed 100mph on the first run and went through the traps at 109mph.

130mph Course Pass 2 - I opened it up quite a bit more and ran 138mph.

130mph Course Pass 3 - We decided that since I only needed a 130+mph run to make the 130mph Club I should shoot for 135mph and I hit it right on the mark.

150mph Course Pass 1 - When I reached about 50mph I began to osculate so I backed it down, adjusted my riding position and tried again. At about 50mph I again began to osculate so I backed it down, adjusted and tried again. At about 50mph I again began to osculate so I pulled off the course to adjust the front trucks. When I pulled back in to line we discovered that one of the wheels had blistered. Not having any spare wheels the next 43+ hours included many phone calls and two trips to Salt Lake City with Neil and Chris arriving back at the starting line just in time for me to make one last run on the 150mph Course and it was the last run of the event.

150mph Course Pass 2 - After a minor course adjustment I went through the gears and headed for the 1 mile marker. I was just below 135 at the 1 mile marker and opened it up from there. Approaching the 2 mile marker I began feeling something stinging the back of my legs and thought it was salt until I saw black pieces flying from between my legs. Knowing I only had a ¼ mile to go to get through the speed trap I held it wide open and held on as it began to drift left with the wheels disintegrating. The GPS read 146mph so I made my way down to the timing shack to discover I had made it through the traps with a 145mph pass. Out of wheels and out of time it was my only full pass on the 150mph course.

Final results

Jenna Morrison 100cc Powered Streetluge 113.398mph
Roland Morrison 1200cc Harley-Davidson Powered Streetluge 145.170mph

Again I have to thank the crew that went above and beyond for what was a great event and blast to spend time with a great group of people.

And since I did not make the 150mph club I guess I'll have to return next year with multiple sets of wheels. J
