A three (3) contest series open to skateboarders of all ages and skill levels

The Charles County Skatepark is located at the White Plains Regional Park, White Plains, Maryland. From Beltway 495: Take Exit 7A (Route 5). Follow south to Waldorf. In Waldorf Route 5 turns, but you stay straight on Route 301. Approx. 3 miles, turn left on DeMarr Road. Follow to end. Park is across intersection.
From 301 Bridge: North on Route 301 to White Plains. Right turn on DeMarr Road. Follow to end. Park is across intersection.
Registration: morning of event, 8:00 am to 10:00 am on site Riders meeting 11:00am Competition starts at 12:00 noon Awards ceremony immediately after last competitive session
Contest #2: 14 June 2003: Van’s, Woodbridge Virginia (deep pool, 10 and under in shallow pool) Registration: morning of event, 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on site Riders meeting 12:30 pm Competition starts at 1:00 pm Awards ceremony immediately after last competitive session
Contest #3: 28 June 2003: St. Mary’s County Skatepark, Lexington Park, Maryland (pool/minis/vert area, not including clover bowl) This skatepark is nearly done, estimated opening date is mid May 2003. Registration: morning of event, 8:00 am to 10:00 am on site Riders meeting 11:00am Competition starts at 12:00 pm Awards ceremony, including series champions, immediately after last session
Competitors must complete registration forms and liability waivers for each individual skatepark before they will be allowed to complete. (If you or your parents have already signed all required forms to skate the park, you are good to go.)
Each skater must abide by the skateparks rules for protective equipment.
Any skater under 18 years of age must obtain parent or guardian’s signature on waiver form
Classes: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40+, Women
Age determined as of 1 May 2003
You will need proof of age (driver's license, birth cert. etc.) if someone protest your age.
Series will use a Jam Session format. Each class will session for 2 minutes per skater (if a class has 10 skaters, they will skate the bowl in an open session format for 20 minutes). Judges will then choose the top 4 riders in each class. (It is virtually impossible to accurately determine more than the top 4 using the jam session format.)
Series Points System: 1st – 1000 2nd – 900 3rd – 800 4th – 750 all others - 500
Series tie breaker will be based on best finish, 2nd best finish, 3rd best finish, skate off if required.
