Saturday May 27: Tight and Hybrid
Sunday May 28: Giant Slalom
Monday May 29: Back up date in case of bad weather
Saturday will be in Wauconda and Sunday will be located in Johnsburg. The Asphalt in Johnsburg is in an unbuilt subdivision with fresh pavement on a 30 Mph Hill.
EVENT DISCRIPTION
FRIDAY (Optional No Race)
We will have the ramps set up on the road with two courses set up. Good way to take a few warm up runs and get a good feel of the 4 foot ramps and the road. After we will either order food or head somewhere to get food and beverages. (There will also be homebrew on tap back at the track/house)
SATURDAY
Tight slalom will be 1st qualifying and then head to head racing. Cone penalty .10 per cone 15% cone DQ limit; we will be using Ricky Byrd style start ramps and Trakmate timer with false start detection. If you false start it will be a DQ for that run.
Hybrid slalom will be 1st qualifying and then head to head racing. Cone penalty .10 per cone 15% cone DQ limit; If you false start it will be a DQ for that run. (If time is not permitting we will run 4 runs and best time will determine positioning. Jam style)
SUNDAY
We will be at Sweet Water Lane in Johnsburg. Hoping to get most of the parking at the top of the hill before the race starts so try to be on time. The race will be based upon 4 runs with the best time taking first. (Jam Style). If we finish faster then expected we might do more then 4 runs. This location will be outlaw but we know someone that owns the land the road is next to. Multiple skate events have been held here with no issue from the town.
Monday
We are leaving Monday open in case of weather we can pull something off in the morning to guarantee 3 races will get done.
Please note: There will be A, B and C classes for this event which will be determined by qualifying times. Only your time will seat you nothing else, and all points will be to where you place after head to head racing within the entire class. So, this means that if there are for example, 8 racers in the A class and you come in 1st in the B class you will be in ninth place for the whole class and so on down the line. If we have enough Master’s & Juniors or woman to make a division (declared the magic number is 4) then they will be eligible to win both their class as well as they place they earn over all.
This event has a PRIME sanction from the ISSA
