This is the beginning of a new era is skateboarding. Eleven new "world champions" will be crowned this summer. Longboarding has truly arrived: "longboarding IS the new school" - Tasos/ ILSA.

Consider this an open personal invitation to all the skateboarders of the world, great and small; we're looking forward to having you come to "the edge of america" and join in what promises to be a great time and the historical beginning of a new era in the future of skateboarding. We hope to enlarge our sk8brdn family daily. With sk8rs from all over the world coming, this will be the definitive longboard slalom contest this and every year. See you in June! Tasos / ILSA

Go to www.streetrecords.com for: official ILSA site, events offered (go to site for a complete list), official entry & waiver/release forms, sk8 history, official press release, photos & photo contest (bottom of page), sponsor banners, banner ads, e-zine Longboard Slalom, directions, schedule of events, course diagram, pics and rules, sk8 links & sk8 videos, hotel info, etc-it's all there and being updated constantly. Let the races begin!

Please register on-line here (ncdsa) first if you plan to compete, but official entry form on ILSA (www.streetrecords.com) site must be completed for official entrance prior to competition. Note: if you can not send in the entry form on time, please go to our site for directions for late registration.

2002 Fibreflex World Longboard Slalom Championships banner is on the bottom page of the NCDSA "slalom" forum page for easy click access to the official site, and text link on the NCDSA "links" page, or click on the banner below. Go to the ILSA official press release page to learn about exchanging links/banners with us.

DOGTOWN & Z-Boys: There will be a special "Old School Hangar Bowl Jam" Sunday, June 23rd spearheaded by Dogtown legend and Z-boy, Tony Alva after the finals on Sunday. Many great skaters are coming out for this alone. Expect over 100 hardcore bowl and pool riders from all over. This is free for all involved. T.A. has expressed that there is a good chance now that he will not be able to come because of his new, post-dogtown schedule. We hope he makes it-we want him to know how badly the hangar bowl crew is expecting him.

The ILSA's Fibreflex World Longboard Slalom Championships are also part of the six city East Coast "Roots" Series - points awarded towards the series finals.

National and East Coast Champions will also be crowned at this years' event. See the ILSA page for sanctioning events and more information.

International Longboarder Magazine and Concrete Wave Magazine will be there to cover the event, and will feature the championships with a cover story (ILB) in the issue after the contest, as will other mags (Juice, SkatinScene, etc).

Be on the look out for our ads in magazines and websites, and especially in the new issue (full color back page ad) of Concrete Wave Magazine. The championships will be professionally video taped by Suburban Fuzz Productions, and covered by TV stations alike.

Mens, Womens, Boys, Girls, Masters, & Grand Masters: 12 events. See the official ILSA site for more info!
