Contest Info:

This outlaw event is centered on a banked slalom course that is a mile and a quarter long down a butter smooth ditch with 10 foot walls on a 7 degree pitch. Racers and adrenaline junkies from all over the globe come to throw their hat in the ring. The format includes three races;

1. An elite level invite-only high-speed downhill banked slalom race on Friday morning for big money and the title. Thsi race is on Friday. This race features 20 racers and 5 alternates. The Racers and alternates have been named. If your name is not on the list below sign up for The Qualifier on the Ditch Slap page and earn a spot in next years main event. The top ten racers will be awarded a spot in next years invitational. (Cash down to tenth place and serious schwag for all racers. Our goal is to meet or beat the 2006 top prize)

2. The Qualifier. A 40 entry race on Saturday. Anyone who can pay the entry fee and wear a helmet can enter this race and run with the big dogs that are competing for the final 10 slots for next years invite only race. Sign up for this race on the Ditch Slap page. Limited to 40 racers, this event usually ends up turning people away. (Race for a spot in next years Premier Event, plus schwag...)
Sign up for this race on the Ditch Slap Page!

3. A Death Race at our new skatepark on the west side of Albuquerque. Recently completed, this skatepark is one of the finest on the planet. Three perfectly sculpted bowls from 8 to 13 feet are meshed together with a flawless half to ¾ pipe. Over-vert pockets and concrete pool coping complete the scene and set the table for one of the most extreme park races ever. (We're gonna pull some cash into this one too! I will update ASAP)

Here's who's invited in no particular order; (including sponsors exemptions and alternates)

The racers who have an invite already know the score. Be at St Bernadettes Church (Indian School Ave and Martha St) at 08:00 on 27 April for the riders meeting.

The Qualifier will be on Saturday 28 April at 09:00. Riders meeting at 08:00. The qualifier will not be at Indian School. The venue will be just as challenging and a good test to see if you have what it takes to run with the big dogs at The Invitational next year. The Qualifier sign up sheet is on the Ditch Slap page.

The Death Race will be at the new Westside Park at 5:00 PM on 28 April. (More to come on this epic event!)

Contact The Marshall or PALMER if you have any questions or comments. Check back often as I will have updates as the race gets closer.

Book your lodging RIGHT NOW if you are coming. The Gathering of Nations is in town that week and will be snapping up every hotel room from Santa Fe to El Paso soon. I am not kidding on this.
