The 4th Annual Dovercourt Open is now up for registration

Day 1, June 30 will for now be on the same (headwind hill) road, Byron Avenue in Westboro as the previous 2 years of day 2 racing. If there is a headwind expect a snug, pump-able hybrid.

Day 2 will be held on Roosevelt and Dovercourt as usual. This year the new start ramps will be 3’ to 4’ high. This year’s course will be a little looser then last year; similar to the course setting of the previous two years.

The event will be run an A, B, C, D bracket on each day of racing. Each racer will have one qualifying run in each lane for each event.

Accommodations: Residence Conference Center – 1-877-225-8664 - Toll Free – (Hopefully it will work in the US as well). On the Web:
http://www.checkintothecentre.com/loc_ottawa_down.html
You are reserving under the DOVERCOURT OPEN. $74.95 per suite (can sleep many; 2 bedrooms, kitchenette w/ fridge & microwave). Includes continental breakfast, internet access and housekeeping. This is different location then last year; it is closer to downtown and the fireworks. It’s about 15 minutes or so from the race venues as well. We have a block of rooms (15 rooms for the 29th and the 30th, 11 rooms for the 1st) reserved but they would like it all booked by 11th of June.

We will hold a meet ‘n greet on Friday June 29,07 at The Ottawa Sk8park Athletic Club, for information, registration and and a free BBQ. 613-798-7275 We can no longer offer accommodations at the sk8park. Go to our website for directions www.ottawask8park.org Do not follow the yahoo or mapquest directions. There is a set of railway tracks that divide Triole Street just south of us; come in from St. Laurent Blvd. & Tremblay (east) then a right on Triole Street.

This is a very exciting week-end in the nation’s capital. There are numerous family activities, including our race. Saturday night we’re planning dinner at the sk8park and details will be available as planning continues. Sunday the awards will immediately follow the racing on site, to accommodate those who need to travel. There is swimming close by and the annual fireworks display. We are working with the media to produce stories in the two weeks leading up to the race to guarantee coverage for the racers.

Entry fee's should be sent via PayPal to cerslalom@msn.com before June 23th. $50.00 ( $75.00 After June 23th ) for everyone except for those 17 and under the fee is $25.00. Please put Canada Day Race in subject line.

Racer Bio's would be great for the MC. Please e-mail info also.

We will offer prize money for this event. Registration and sponsorship will determine final possibilities.
