BLACK LEATHER RACING and La Costa Boys Racing proudly present HACKETT’S 44TH OUTLAW / PUMP STATION GIANT SLALOM – Sponsored by KHIRO SKATEBOARD PRODUCTS! "KING OF BUSHINGS"Sunday 11/07/04 @ 12:00 (High Noon) to 3:00. 1 FAST GS for $20.00. Jam Format. Self Cone Marshalling as we walk back up the course.

Everyone’s welcome to come race with the BIG BOYS! The course has been set by LCB’s Tiger “High Speed” Williams, and it is 40 cones- FAST and GNAR! The pavement is smooth and grippy. Expect speeds of 25 - 34 MPH.

The course starts out fairly mellow in grade, then imediatly drops into a 10-15MPH speed thrill as you pump through the first 10 cones, then, the course vears right- just before the 15-20 cone mark, just when you will be maching at the about the top speed (unless you dare to charge it harder) then, right about the 30th-40rth cone you might be pullin' some bugs outta' yer teeth, when crossing the finish line!

As you can see by the photos of the actual course, this hill is killer!

From the top looking down.

From the bottom looking up.

IMPORTANT: THIS RACE IS A "NLA" RACE!! - NO LYCRA ALLOWED!! (Save that for blading on the boardwalk!) Any racer wearing lycra will not get an official time.

This guy showed up wearing Lycra!

The course will be a single lane GS, open at High Noon and run as a “Jam Format” for any and all To lay down the fastest time during the three hours it is open - from 12-3 PM!

The Brown Bomber Takes a Victory Lap after winning the Hybrid at Pump Station I Race.

Come out and Try to beat Old Man Hackett on his 44th B-Day!! Gates average about 15 to 20 feet and you'll be SMOKING through the course as many times as you want in 3 hours!!

Course times will be taken by LCB’s Lynn Kramer, and the top three fastest racers will win CA$H! Paid out By dividing the entry fee: 50% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, and 20% to 3rd place finishers.

The winner will also receive a Limited Edition one of a kind Black Leather Racing Pocket Pistol Deck!!! Directions: From LA take 5 south to 56 east to 15 south. Exit Mercy Rd/Scripps Poway Parkway. Turn left. Go one block past the freeway and turn left into the USA Gasoline/Chili's/Coldwell Banker parking lot. Park in this lot. Skate/walk back to Scripps Poway Parkway (the road you were just on), then toward the freeway. Walk down the road called Cara Road. You'll see the Pump Station sign. We'll be about 1/4 mile down.

From San Diego, take the 8 or 52 to the 15. Go North on the 15 to Mercy Rd/Scripps Poway Parkway. Turn right. Go one blockand turn left into the USA Gasoline/Chili's/Coldwell Banker parking lot. Park in this lot. Skate/walk back to Scripps Poway Parkway (the road you were just on), then toward the freeway. Walk down the road called Cara Road. You'll see the Pump Station sign. We'll be about 1/4 mile down.

Very important that you park at the location I've given you and NOT at the top of the race course. That will get us thrown out.

There is no natural shade and it will be hot and the nearest store is far so bring snacks and liquids!!!

If your coming out or know someone that is, please shoot me a email so I can have an idea of how many to expect. Please join us at Chili's afterward for an Awards Dinner and Cold Ones!

1st Place Finisher: KOSICK 34.34
2nd Place Finisher: MITCHELL 34.53
3rd Place Finisher: CHICKEN 34.90
Overall Results: The race was a huge success thanks to all who came out, and our sponsors BLR, LCB, KHIRO, Pocket Pistols, and Sector Nine!
It sprinkled a little rain, but only for about 10 mins. The course remained open for over 4 hours while everyone threw themselves down the course over and over hoping to best Kosick's flawless approach on the super fast super tech GIANT SLALOM.

A great day was had by all!
