:D I'm stocked by you're collection!Hope one day I could see it....Maybe on the net?for the little story, the advertisement I posted was a part of french magazines like SKATEBOARD MAGAZINE and SKATE FRANCE INTERNATIONAL. At that time, I mean 1978, I bought the SANTA CRUZ free style you can see on the right, with all my child'monney. I received the new model, the yellow one I yet posted.Being adult, I bought all the models you can see on this ads, N.O.S, from the same seller, DIRECT SYSTEM, exept the H.H Slalom and the STRAIGHT free style. When skateboard crashed in 70', there where some dead stocks, and from the late 90, those boards where not so expensive than today.

Hello-yes the one on the bottom left is a HH Model, which I also own and signed by Henry Hester, but the one shaped like yours that I have is a light brown and orange mix and is a John Hutson Model, which I had signed by John himself!

Isn't it a Henry HESTER model?this one in the left bottom of this french ads from the 70'? [img:3e2be7dz]http://i40.photobucket. com/albums/e231/valensole/directsystem.jpg[/i mg:3e2be7dz]

Radikal-do you have any info on the red, white and black egg shaped (not the double cutaway) Blizzard Slalom Skateboard? This deck is also shown in the Disposable Skateboard Bible Book and it is from 1976. I have all of the other Blizzard Decks-including a wooden Model which I can not find any info on. Do you know of anyone with one of these egg shaped Blizzard Decks for sale??? Dennis

The orange Santa Cruz Deck pictured below looks exactly like my John Hutson Cutback Model which is from 1977 and is shown on page 109 of "The Disposable Skateboard Bible Book". Check it out for yourself.

Hi OKTODES!this is a santa cruz slalom deck, I dont think it has an other name, it's not a Henry HESTER model neither a John HUSTON model...as long as I know....It was made in 1978-1979. Really a thin, light, beautiful deck, like all the S.C of this period. There is another color, blue with dark blue striping if I remember. The price of that kind of board? the price of you love. Then, if we really have to speak of cash, here, in Europe, I would say around 200 $ for a deck in N.O.S condition. certainly less in U.S.A where this board is more common, maybe 150 $? But I'm maybe wrong....in a way or in another one...

@ radikal...I have the exact same Santa Cruz as you, the orange one, 4th from the right in your first picture... any idea about the exact name of the piece, when it was made and what it could be worth?? Only the deck, because i don't have any trucks underneath it...cheers, nice collection BTW...PS: if anyone else reading would know the answer, please don't hesitate answering, if you feel like it that is...

Does anyone have any information or vintage advertisements for WOODEN BLIZZARD Skateboards? I have met someone who has one and is looking for information about them. I have never seen one before the picture they sent me and I have not seen any ads for any either and it is not shown in "The Disposable Skateboard Bible Book" nor anyother publication that I have been able to find.If anyone can help I am sure this person would really appreciate it as well as myself.

KJELL 140 Skateboard Trucks and Road Star Wheels
On 11/6/2010 d. allgeier wrote in from (96.234.nnn.nnn)

OK guys and girls-I was very fortunate enough to find the KJELL 182 Slalom Trucks with the correct Road Star Wheels and 1/2" translucent green urethane risers made by Atlantic. NOW, I need to locate another set of KJELL 140 FREESTYLE Trucks (if they had the Road Star wheels with then that would be great but not necessary) for my 1976 Blizzard Freestyle Kicktail deck for which I have never seen a picture of one anywhere. But I have an NOS-mint one! So if anyone has a lead on a set please send them my way. darkhorse2 51@verizon.net

Glen-no I have not heard of the deck you mention nor did I see any picture of it. E-mail me at darkhorse2 51@verizon.net and I can send you pictures of the ones I have and the one I am looking for. Also, other than the picture in the book I have not seen the other Blizzaed Slalom deck. And the book does not show the other Blizzard Freestyle deck I own which came out the same time as the egg shaped slalom deck did.E-mail me when you can.And the Freestyle decks had KJELL 140 Trucks. I have one set of those as well.Dennis
